How it was prepared
- Every city was covered with a bounding box around the urban area; only named business elements with at least one contact tag were kept. Government, political, religious and diplomatic offices were excluded.
- Phones validated and normalized to E.164; emails lowercased and syntax-checked, placeholder and no-reply addresses removed.
- 18,884 business website domains were looked up (4,652 no longer exist; 14,174 visited, up to 4 pages each) for emails, phones, WhatsApp and social links; emails shared by unrelated sites were dropped and generic business mailboxes are prioritized.
- Deduplicated by OSM id and by same name, contact and location within about 100 m. Sorted by country, city, category and name.
